Mamquam Blind Channel Pedestrian Bridge Operational Plan

Bosa as part of the master plan agreement with the District of Squamish is constructing a Pedestrian Lift Bridge over the Mamquam Blind Channel in Squamish BC. The bridge represents one of the first lift bridges to be approved by the Navigation Protection Program (NPP) of Transport Canada (TC) in the last 20 years. To support its approval a detailed Operational Management Plan was required to ensure that navigation interferences would be minimized as a result of the pedestrian bridge construction and operations. Meeting with marine stakeholders, engineering detailing of operational requirements with mechanical, electrical structural engineers were undertaken to define an operational plan that could be approved by the NPP of TC.

TyPlan secured approval for the proposed pedestrian bridge.
